敦煌艺术大展-前言一
1900年,敦煌藏经洞的偶然发现让5万余件敦煌遗书重现人间。其数量之巨、价值之丰富震惊学术界,旋即促成敦煌学的诞生,热度绵延,持续至今。敦煌石窟也在沉寂了600年之后,重新回到世人眼中——即便沧桑起伏,依然恢宏壮丽,动人心魄。斗转星移的岁月捶打,又让世人为敦煌艺术与学术的命运慨然为叹。122年里,无数学人投身于敦煌的保护、整理、研究与弘扬传播事业,取得了丰沛的成果,书写下可歌可泣的成就与人生篇章。
2022年,北京民生现代美术馆与敦煌研究院联合推出“文明的印记——敦煌艺术大展”。展览由三大部分组成:以“经典敦煌艺术”历史性叙述敦煌艺术成就,以“藏经洞专题”展示敦煌学的宏阔博大,以与“1940年以来的敦煌艺术与精神”展现敦煌的现实活力。展品由文物、临本、现当代名家之作构成,280余组件的数量使其成为迄今为止规模最大的敦煌题材展。
展览得到敦煌研究院、天津博物院、甘肃省文物局、中国民生银行、敦煌市博物馆、肃州博物馆、中国敦煌石窟保护研究基金会、北京民生文化艺术基金会、上海民生现代美术馆等多家机构和个人的鼎力支持。在各界的共同努力之下,敦煌艺术走出大漠,焕发出新的活力与能量——其坚定的信念与雅俗共赏的表达依然给人们以启示,鼓舞我们以最为直观的形象讲述平凡而伟大的中国故事,在新的时代继续担当起艺术承载文明印记的使命。

In 1900, the Library Cave in Dunhuang was unexpectedly discovered with over 50,000 cultural relics reappearing in the world. The vast volume and rich value stunned the academic community, and immediately led to the birth of Dunhuang Studies, which is still amazing today. Suffered 600 years of neglect, the Dunhuang Grottoes have been once again under the spotlight. They remain magnificent and touching despite the ups and downs. Every one marvels at the destiny of Dunhuang arts and studies. During the past 122 years, innumerable scholars have devoted themselves to protecting, collating, researching and promoting the cultural relics and sites of Dunhuang Grottoes with fruitful results achieved, writing a touching and deserving chapter of life.
In 2022, Beijing Minsheng Art Museum and Dunhuang Academy jointly held the exhibition themed on “The Trace of Civilization: The Great Art of Dunhuang.” The exhibition comprises three sections: “Classic Dunhuang Art,” describing Dunhuang’s art achievements in a historical manner; “Library Cave”, displaying the grandeur of Dunhuang Studies; and “Dunhuang Art and Spirit Since 1940,” showing the vitality of Dunhuang. Over 280 sets (pieces) of exhibits are displayed, including cultural relics, copies and works of modern and contemporary masters, making this exhibition the largest one about Dunhuang Grottoes so far.
The exhibition has been vigorously supported by many institutions and individuals, such as the Dunhuang Academy, Tianjin Museum, Gansu Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration, China Minsheng Bank, Dunhuang Museum, Jiuquan Shi Suzhou Qu Bo Wu Guan, China Dunhuang Grottoes Conservation Research Foundation, Beijing Minsheng Foundation for Arts and Culture, and Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum. Thanks to the joint efforts of all walks of life, Dunhuang arts have stepped out of the desert and showed its new vitality and energy to the whole world. Its firm belief and expression with both refined and popular tastes still inspire and encourage us to tell ordinary but great Chinese stories in the most direct way, and ceaselessly devote ourselves to creating art with civilization signs in the new era.
